Hartford Paintball

In addition to competing in college tournaments, Hartford Paintball is involved in many other activities both on and off the University of Hartford campus.  As an active campus organization, one of our main activities is hosting recreational events for campus groups.  We take a group of people to our home field and spend the day playing paintball.  This is a great way to introduce people to our sport, and also gives people who are already familiar with the sport of paintball a chance to play it.  Colleges are made up of people from all over the world, so when we host an outing it gives paintball players who aren’t from Connecticut an opportunity to join in the fun even though they are outside of their local area.  The main recreational event Hartford Paintball hosts is known as the “Play To Win” tournament.  This is a paintball tournament in which proceeds benefit The American Cancer Society. Next year Hartford Paintball will also be hosting a scenario game known as “The Battle of Kursk.  This will be the first large scale scenario game Hartford Paintball organizes, but it is slated to occur twice a year.  This will be a World War Two themed scenario game in which players are organized into two teams; German and Russian.  The two teams will then compete for points awarded for completing objectives.  The team with the most points at the end of the day is the winner.  Proceeds from this event will also benefit a charity which will be determined at a later date.  Through these activities and others, Hartford Paintball is sticking to the goals and principles with which it was founded.
